Wairua Pūhou - Polyfest

Matua Mac Te Ngahue —

Last nights Polyfest performance was eagerly anticipated by Wairua Pūhou, the culmination of months of weekend practices. With everything else our students have on their plates, we managed to put a bracket together that was pretty good by Wairua Pūhou standards. We showed up and delivered a performance that was reasonably slick.

Our Kaitātaki Wahine, Kaitlyn Marsh led from the start with a beautiful performance and spine tingling singing, accompanied by Dennis Krystel as our Kaitātaki Tane. They both really helped to enhance the overall performance. Upcoming performers to watch were Mariah Taungapeau and eight year old Tia Te Ngahue who we banked on for the cute factor.

A huge thanks goes out to our main tutor and OGHS old girl, Rinaria Hepi for her help and guidance and Sam Chadwick for coming in and helping the boys when he had time. A special mention goes out to Whaea Joe for being there when we needed her the most. A huge mihi to 'Tamaiti o le Moana' whose performance was absolutely amazing and inspiring. A final mihi to all of the parents of Wairua Pūhou who without your endless sacrifice would not exist.
