Annelies MacDuff (front row – 4th from the left) was a member of the NZ International Softball Academy Under 15 girls “White” team who in the last week of Term Three competed in the Under 17 Blue Blaze Tournament in Sydney. They placed 4th.

They are flanked by coaches Chris Telfer (former Black Sox) and Rita Hokianga (current White Sox).

Zillah Conder was also a part of this tour. She played for the NZ Black team and was named vice captain.

The teams played a total of eight tournament games and four warm up games against other Australian provincial teams before the tournament started. The Black team took immense pleasure in beating the NZ White team, though they unfortunately finished one point ahead  at the end of the tournament.

The Black team were coached by Steve Sila  and Curtis Huata and were managed by the ever hardworking Di Waterhouse.
