On Thursday 15 April all Geography students and some Social Studies students had the opportunity to attend a talk from the team involved in the AF8 (Alpine Fault, Magnitude 8) Roadshow. Our students were able to discuss and participate in various activities about earthquakes and how whilst we can't predict earthquakes, we can prepare for them. The next severe earthquake on the Alpine Fault is likely to occur within the lifetime of most of us, or our children. Students received valuable information about being prepared from various members of the AF8 team and Civil Defence.
