12 Physical Education Moke Lake Camp 2023
The camp adventures began at Highlands for an exciting go-karting race before starting our mountainous hike ready to set up camp for the night. Separated into our pairs we each assembled our tents eating our cold dinners before the rain settled in for the sleepless night ahead. With the sun shining early the next morning we packed up our wet tents and prepared for our windy walk along to our campsite at the beautiful Moke Lake. After devouring a quick lunch the first group set off to battle the gusty conditions to go biking through fast-flowing rivers and over uneven terrain. Many laughs were had as we tried our hardest to dodge rocks in the river and avoid falling into the glacial waters. Not all succeeded in staying upright despite our best efforts. Unfortunately, strong winds and impending torrential rain cut our adventure short with us arriving back at school late Wednesday night. We were gutted not to end our adventures with a jet boat ride but lucky for us, we avoided what turned out to be a pretty horrendous few days of flooding and slips. Tired but still smiling, we were grateful to our experienced staff and for the memorable and rewarding camp.
