Introducing our Sports Prefects
Sophie Moors and Milly Hoeta
Hello! My name is Sophie Moors, and I’m privileged to be one of the sports prefects for 2026. I have always loved sports at OGHS from year 9, being involved in hockey, football and many more on and off. I’ve been a member of the sports council since year 9 and have been a sports coordinator from year 11. I’m looking forward to the year ahead, being in this role and working alongside all involved.
Here is just a little bit about me. I love spending my spare time outdoors, either tramping, camping, walking my 2 dogs, biking or down at the beach coaching junior surf. I have spent quite a bit of my time in high school being injured, but hoping this year I finish the year and make it to the end injury-free.
Hello! My name is Milly Hoeta, and I am incredibly honoured to be one of the 2026 Sports Prefects. I have always been passionate about sport and have been a member of the Rowing and Cross Country teams since Year 9. I’m really excited to build on this role and see how sport continues to grow and thrive this year.
Alongside Sophie, I hope to encourage participation, support school sporting events, and help foster a positive, inclusive sporting culture at OGHS. We are both enthusiastic about taking on this leadership role and working to make sport enjoyable and accessible for everyone.
A little bit about me, I love rowing and spending time at the beach doing surf life saving. I enjoy being outdoors and can’t wait for the exciting year ahead.
