Kia Ora whanau. My name is Lily Welsh and I have the honour of being the Manukura Māori at Otago Girls High School this year. A little bit about myself, well in my spare time you’ll often find me at school (including the weekends) because of wānanga or noho with Te Wairua Pūhou (OGHS and OBHS kapa haka group). There are many things within OGHS that have been designed/created for Māori by Māori which are a great way to get involved and meet many likeminded people. Some of these activities and groups include Kahui Kōrero - Māori student council, Te wairua pūhou and ngā manu kōrero plus many more. I have many ideas and exciting things planned throughout the year for our Māori students to get involved in, so keep posted and I am sure you will hear from me again soon.

Ngā mihi mahana,

Manukura Māori
