Year 12 and Year 13 students are currently working on Electricity and Electromagnetism, including the use of electromagnets. Students got to experience how to create a strong magnet that can be turned on and off by getting a current to flow through a long wire that is coiled (best shape to get the strongest electromagnet possible: each coil is a mini magnet and they all add up to make a strong magnet).
