At our recent school sports day at the Caledonian, Year 9 student Eva McLean achieved a remarkable milestone. Eva completed the 1500m race in 5 minutes and 6 seconds, surpassing a 30-year-old school record previously held by her mother, Mrs. Taryn McLean (née McLeod), by 13 seconds.

Eva is proud of this accomplishment, noting that breaking her mother's record was a personal goal. Despite the added pressure, she delivered a personal best performance. Mrs. McLean graciously acknowledged her daughter's success, expressing happiness that the record now belongs to Eva.
