What is the best week you have ever experienced? Never did I expect to say: one where I spent my holidays at school. However, that is my reality, as I had the privilege of attending the remarkable Hands On at Otago program over the summer holidays, which took place at the University of Otago. Despite only being 10 minutes away from home, my week at Hands On was life-changing, filled with lessons and friendships that I hope will last a lifetime. 

Over my week at Hands On, I not only got to experience university life, living at the new Te Rangihīroa College alongside 400 students from across Aotearoa. I also had the opportunity to explore university courses through our projects and testers. I was a part of the marketing project, but alongside my project, I experienced many courses such as Management and International Business, Politics, and Law, which was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. I am incredibly thankful to be given this opportunity, and I encourage everyone to try out for this unique and life-changing opportunity!
