Year 10 Science class 10Dbk has been learning about distance-time graphs in their forces and motion topic. This week they completed a balloon zipline experiment to generate data that they could use to make their own graphs.

Students measured two metres of string, tied this between two chairs, and then used a straw and tape to connect their balloons to the zipline. They then inflated their balloons before releasing them and timing the distance and time they travelled. This was a fun and exciting way to demonstrate the physics learning we had been doing in the classroom.
