Ashleigh Todd - VetEquine Otago Ltd

For the past 10 weeks, I have been working at VetEquine Otago. I have been learning the role of what a vet nurse does and the qualifications needed to become a vet nurse. Over my time I have learned where the safest places are to inject a horse and how to take bloods off a horse, helping in surgery and setting up equipment like the X-ray machine. I have learnt all about cross-contamination and how important it is to keep the equipment clean. I have really enjoyed my time working with the vets and leave with so much more knowledge.
