The due date is fast approaching for our applications for the Otago Academy of Sport Talent Development Programme (TDP) for 2023. Applications will be closing on Monday 20 February. If you as a Year 13 student are interested in applying please see Ms Hokianga as soon as possible for application information.In summary, the year one of the TDP is called the Foundation Program and Year 2 is the Leadership Program. Both years involve workshops, one on one consults and a tailored strength and conditioning program run by Matt Blair in the HPSNZ gym. The only change this year is that we will be selecting athletes into the ear 1 program from Year 13 only or athlete's who have left school but are a similar age to this school year, unless there are special circumstances. We feel the first year out of school is the year the athletes need most of the support from us as they transition into a life of independence living away from home, studying/working and trying to manage the demands of their sport and life.
