Lauren Paterson - Penzance Kennels and Cattery

For my Gateway placement, I had the opportunity to go to Penzance Kennels and Cattery. I got to work with cats and dogs, caring and cleaning for them. I learnt how to properly supervise them, making sure they were all happy, to check them for any injuries and learn all the different dietary requirements for the cats and dogs. I found this placement really useful as I got to learn a lot about animal care and it helped me understand if vet nursing is something I really want to do in the future. Overall my placement was very enjoyable and I was glad I got help from such a great group of people that showed me how to do everything.
