Last evening our students from Teine Mai Le Moana performed at the Otago Polyfest with a variety of items from Samoa, Cook Islands, Niue and Tuvalu with their theme of women empowerment and the opportunity for our young va’ine to show who they are. Our students were particularly grateful that they still had the opportunity to perform considering the challenges faced with lockdown and Covid alert levels.

We also must acknowledge our tutors for all the hours of support and teaching they have given us: Blessing Kioa, Tracey Masoe, Kayleena Tauevihi-Nukanuka, Sellina Sa’u, Vavega Malu, Pajoe Li’i Mapuilesua, and also Atelaite Cikamatana and Setaita Ramsay.
