Celebration

Ms K. Dick, HOD English, Celebration co-ordinator —

Last week we enjoyed another great “Celebration” at Knox Church.

A traditional event on the school calendar for over sixty years, the night was as spectacular as usual. This year we chose to celebrate our New Zealand identity through music and literature from across a range of genre and lively songs. Intermingled with this we enjoyed superb performances from stunning our cultural groups, musicians and performers. From the songs of Dave Dobbyn to Kimbra and the musings of John Clarke to Sue Wootton, this was an extremely festive and humour-filled evening. Our Year 13s entertained us with their traditional medley of crazy musical snippets and gentle digs at the idiosyncrasies of life at OGHS. Thank you to the many staff and students who contribute to such a wonderful evening.
