Yasuda Girls' High School Exchange

Ms J. Yoshioka-Braid, Japanese Teacher —

Thirty Yasuda Girls' High School students from Hiroshima, Japan, arrived at OGHS on Friday the 29 July for their annual 13-day visit to the school.

The students are being hosted by OGHS students for the duration of their stay. During the morning, they study English and interact with OGHS students of Japanese, and in the afternoon there are various activities arranged for them around Dunedin including a visit along the peninsula to the albatross colony and to see the yellow-eyed penguins. So far, the girls are thoroughly enjoying their stay and have been making many Kiwi friends within the school. They depart Dunedin on Thursday, August 11.
