As part of the Year 11 Health and Wellbeing programme the students annually participate in the ‘Survivor 2020 Safer Journeys Expo’ held at the Edgar Centre. This will be happening again this year on Wednesday 13 March. The girls will be leaving by bus from OGHS at 11:30am and returning to school by 3:20pm. The girls will wear their school uniform, including their blazers to and from the event. The expo highlights the risks of drink driving, poorly modified vehicles and peer pressure on young drivers. It is organised by the Dunedin Police and uses emergency service personnel to show students the consequences and responsibilities that can be associated with driving. An email has already been sent out to parents regarding this programme.
