Esports Tournament

Mr D Trickey, TIC Esports —

It is with great pride we can announce the second esports tournament for Otago. Over the past three years we have been journeying towards equity in this space and this years looks to be bigger than ever. This is a social gaming experience where ākonga can enjoy doing what they love in a healthy and competitive environment. The whole weekend will be professionally live streamed with a commentary.

Otago Girls' at the moment have two League of Legends teams entered into the tournament on the 24th and 25th of September, with The University of Otago Heraldines being our first team and The Pocketsmith Gremlin gang being our second. We always have room for more players though so if any of your children even just want to compete for fun register them at:

If Valorant is more of their game, on the Friday we are running an exclusive event for wahine and gender queer youth on Friday the 23rd of September. This game is fun and exciting and the format will be a little more relaxed so great for first time players. Many students have already signed up but bookings are still open and individuals are free to sign up to be paired up with other participants.
