This week we had the pleasure of hosting the Dunedin Otaru Sister City Society Japanese Speech Competition here at school. It was a wonderful event, and our Japanese language students represented us brilliantly across all divisions.

We also acknowledge Edelweiss von Hoffler, Abi den Dekker, and Julia Bai, who put in a huge amount of effort preparing and delivering their speeches on the day.

The judges praised all participants for their bravery on stage and for presenting such interesting topics. They mentioned that choosing the winners was a real challenge—especially in the senior section, where the results were exceptionally close.
