Year 13 Foods class had an opportunity to attend Cake Decorating Masterclass with Clare Pennell last week.

Clare Pennell is the owner of Cakes of Wanaka and primarily works in the space of commissioned bespoke cakes – including being the designer of Richie McCaw and Gemma Flynn’s wedding cake.

Clare demonstrated the decoration of a single layered naked cake  using fondant icing . As you can see the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
