It is with great honour that Otago Girls' will host the Polynesian Panthers next Monday.

These Civil rights leaders from Aotearoa will be hosted in the school hall on Monday, March the 11th and we warmly invite Whānau to attend. It will be a fantastic opportunity for all of our students to understand our shared histories. 

The Polynesian Panther Party was established in Aotearoa in 1971 to respond to racism and ill treatment of Pacific peoples in Aotearoa.

The Panthers were instrumental in advancing the 2021 Government apology for the Dawn Raids.

Who: The session is designed for rangatahi so we have a focus on them but this is great for ANYONE to attend!

Format: Presentation from original Panthers Dr Melani Anae, Rev. Alex Toleafoa, Tigilau Ness, Mere Montgomery and honorary Panther Pauline Smith followed by a Q & A
