Parent Teacher Interviews

Mr C Richards, Deputy Principal —

Kia ora koutou

This term we are holding parent teacher interviews. These will be In Person, face to face on Thursday 26 May and ONLINE on Wednesday 1 June. Teachers will be available during the following times for appointments:

Thursday 26 May 3:45pm - 6:30pm - In Person Event code: mxcva

Wednesday 1 June 4:00pm - 8:30pm - Online Event code: jsm9s

Each interview is five minutes. The Online interviews are spaced with a short crossover in between each appointment during which time you are admitted via the direct link in your interview booking. It is best to avoid back-to-back interviews in case interviews run over time. In Person interviews are at school with a room allocated.

Family engagement matters for student success. Research shows that family engagement improves school readiness, student achievement, and social skills.

Family engagement does not happen in a vacuum. Rather, it takes the committed actions of both families and schools working together—through parent–teacher conferences and interviews as well as other forms of engagement—to support student success. Through this shared responsibility, schools reach out to and engage families in meaningful ways, and, similarly, families do their part to actively support their children’s learning and development.

Parent Interviews can be booked online at www.schoolinterviews.co.nz as usual.

Your Online bookings will contain a live Video Interview link that will take you directly to the teacher on the day. It will look like this in your email:

Click on the link called Video Interviews as above just before your appointment time and the teacher will admit you. There is no logon or extra step required once you click on that link.

Bookings will open at 3 pm on Friday 13 May, and close at 7am on the interview day. Please telephone the school office on 474 0496 if you wish to make your bookings directly.

Home-school partnerships ensure the best outcomes for your daughter and this is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and discuss their progress, attitude to study and next steps. Please feel very welcome.
