Celebrating the Success of Former International Student Letitia Shen
At Otago Girls' High School, we love hearing about the achievements of our former students, and we were delighted to receive an update from Letitia Shen, a past international student, sharing her recent success.
Letitia has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and has been awarded a place on the Vice-Chancellor’s List for Academic Excellence, placing her among the top 2% of higher education students in 2024. She has also received the Garland Magazine Innovative and Storied Object Award for her creative work.
Additionally, Letitia has been selected to exhibit her work in the Biennial Exhibition: Contemporary Jewellery and Object Award at the Australian Design Centre. Although she is currently unable to share images of her work before the exhibition opens, we look forward to seeing her incredible talent showcased.
In her heartfelt message, Letitia expressed gratitude for the support she received from OGHS staff and fondly reminisced about her time at school—including her love for the canteen’s bacon and egg sandwiches!
Congratulations, Letitia! We are so proud of you and look forward to seeing what you accomplish next.
