Brydie Kennedy - Mike Sowman Design

As part of my Gateway course for this year I have been given the opportunity to spend my Fridays at Mike Sowman Design. During my time at my Gateway placement I have been working on Archicad to create floor plans and elevations for houses. I have been taught how to organise my drawings into technical sheets as well as being shown previous job plans in full view. This has helped me to understand the process of design better. The team at Mike Sowman Design were all very encouraging and didn't hesitate to help me in any way, I am very grateful for the support they gave me. This experience has assisted me in deciding what course I will be studying in the future. I now know I will be heading to Otago Polytechnic to further my education.
