The new bus card, the Bee Card, will replace the GoCard and will be used from 1 September on Dunedin’s Orbus network.

We know some of your students catch an Orbus to and from school and we want to make sure they are ready.

Children 5 to 18 years old are eligible for cheaper youth fares with the Bee Card. A youth fare is being trialled until the end of the year. It’s $1.20 for any trip across the network in Dunedin using a Bee Card. A cash fare (without a Bee Card) is $3 for any trip.

To get the discounted fare, a youth or their parent must register their card (and birth-date) online at www.BeeCard.co.nz.
