Introducing our PB4L Prefects

PB4L Prefects —

Maya Satake and Sammy McCormick

Hi there! We’re Maya Satake and Sammy McCormick, and we are beyond excited to be embarking on the role of PB4L Prefect together this year. Our role within the school is to lead by example and display, promote and embody Otago Girls’ School values of respect, integrity, and positivity.

Together we want to encourage younger students to see how these values are important not only in their school life but also in their personal life too. We hope that these values will allow students to become a better version of themselves and make the High School experience memorable, fun and a safe place for all.

At Otago Girls’ students are given Shelly Cards by teachers or senior staff members when they showcase our school values. These cards are then entered into a school-wide draw where during our Tuesday assemblies a lucky person will receive an amazing prize for their hard work.

We believe that being relatable, kind and authentic is the best way to connect with others during whole school assemblies and we aim to do just that.

We have so many exciting things planned and we are ready to take on this leadership role and have an awesome 2024!
