Success at the AON Surf Life Saving Championships!

Ms C Hokianga, Sports Coordinator —

From March 6th to 9th, Peta Richardson, Isabella Miller, and Margo Trump competed in the AON Surf Life Saving Championships in Gisborne, achieving fantastic results.

Peta excelled in her events, making the semi-finals in the board race, ski race, surf race, run-swim-run, and diamond race. Meanwhile, Isabella and Margo put in a strong performance in the U17 Surf Teams event, placing 4th overall. The trio also competed in the U17 Beach Relay, finishing 8th.

The highlight of the competition was in the U17 Rescue Tube Rescue, where Margo and Isabella teamed up with Charlotte and Victoria Aburn from St Hilda’s. Their teamwork and endurance paid off as they claimed first place, bringing home a gold medal!

They were featured in the Otago Daily Times!

Congratulations to Peta, Isabella, and Margo for their outstanding performances and for representing OGHS with pride. We are proud of you!
