Year 12 PE Students Master Risk Management at Waiora Scout Camp

Mrs M Clements, Physical Education —

Our Year 12 PE students recently completed a fantastic three-day trip to Waiora Scout Camp, where they put their knowledge of risk management strategies to the test in a practical, hands-on environment.

The camp was a brilliant mix of adventure and learning. The students spent an afternoon tramping, a full day tackling challenges on the Taieri River, and a final day of engaging team-building activities back at camp. This immersive experience allowed them to apply their classroom learning to real-world scenarios while developing essential skills for outdoor activities.

The students enjoyed the chance to work together in the outposts and bonded over the various challenges. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to build teamwork, resilience, and confidence. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the positive attitude they brought to the trip.
