Swimming Sports

Charlotte Underwood-Nicol and Ella Gomez, Sports Prefects and Mr D Trickey, TIC Swimming Sports —

There was an amazing turn out to swimming sports last Tuesday with heaps of students showing the school spirit. From the competitive and non-competitive events to the prefects vs staff relay, swimming sports never fail to put a smile on everyone's faces.

Everyone turned up to Moana Pool in their vibrant house colours and swimwear ready for an awesome morning. Some unforgettable memories were made with friends and the positivity shown by staff and students was extremely exciting to get amongst. There were multiple records broken throughout the morning which just shows how competitive some of our swimmers were (details to follow when available). Not to mention the novelty event which was also popular and it was great seeing everyone out there giving it a go. It was exciting to see Carinn Gaspar introducing the historic Side Stroke as part of our 150th celebrations. There was a positive and uplifting atmosphere throughout the school and it really made swimming sports 2021 one to remember.

Williams took out their second house event despite a strong challenge from Allan.

In personally disappointing news the staff relay team was a clear 2nd against the prefects meaning the School prefects have beaten the staff on the track and in the pool. The staff are now in training for our next event against the prefects.
