Dear School Community,

Salmac (via Naylor Love) have been contracted to undertake asbestos removal in B Block as part of the upcoming fascia and spouting replacement work. Removal work is currently planned to take place on the following dates:

6 July – 17 July 2026

A contingency window has been planned for the week commencing 20 July 2026 in the event that all work is not be able to be completed in the holidays. If this period is required, removal will be done outside of school hours. Site setup will commence the week of 29 June, however no removal will be taking place over this period.

Salmac are a Class A & B licensed Asbestos Removal Company as is required by Worksafe, and all removal work will be completed as per the following Acts and Regulations:

* Health and Safety at Work Act 2015

* Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016

* Approved Code of Practice for the Management and Removal of Asbestos

* Ministry of Education requirements for Asbestos Removal

Please adhere to any signage, directions provided from the removalists, and avoid the immediate area if possible on the dates referred to above. Please note that the dates provided may be subject to change, and updates will be provided if necessary.
