Year 13 students are learning about musical notes as part of their Waves External. Students learned about the formation of standing waves in musical instruments and how a note can be changed by changing the properties of the standing wave, like changing its wavelength in the context of musical instruments: using a smaller flute, blocking holes, or holding a guitar chord on the fret.
