Yasuda Girls' High School - Hosting

Ms B. Thomson, TIC Japanese —

Every year we welcome a group of approximately 30 students from our sister school - Yasuda Girls' High School - in Hiroshima Japan.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to make new friendships and share some of our New Zealand culture and traditions. We currently have one of our Year 13 students Bridget Dalley on exchange at Yasuda Girls. Bridget has embraced her time there and has recently taught them how to make cheese rolls. They all look like they have enjoyed learning our traditional southern snack. The group will be visiting from 27 July until 8 August 2020. The students attend school every day and have a programme of English lessons in the morning and then activities in the afternoon. They are finished each day in time to go home with their OGHS host sister. If you are able to help with hosting, please fill in the google form at the link below. https://forms.gle/oFzBeuoXEdEoq2eM6
