On Tuesday morning, Matua Mike Mikaere spoke to us at assembly before blessing the carved pou that he has very generously gifted to our kura. It symbolises the relationship of kaiako to ākonga and was carved at Ākonga Te Rangatahi by three teachers. It commemorates the educational journey of a young woman.
