OGHS SKI TRIP 2018

Miss M. Young, Ski Trip Co-ordinator —

The Otago Girls’ High School annual ski trip to Coronet Peak will take place from Friday 31 August to Tuesday 4 September.

This is an exciting opportunity to spend four wonderful days immersed in the outdoors developing self-management and responsibility, interpersonal skills, and skiing or snowboarding techniques. Otago Girls’ High School ski trips have a reputation for being VALUE for money, FUN, CHALLENGING, exhilarating and an extremely worthwhile experience.

Every student will participate each day in 90 minute lesson with qualified ski instructors. For the remainder of the day they have the opportunity to ski or snowboard with friends or the staff.

If this is your idea of Outdoor Education, then this is the trip for you!

Our school ski trip is open to all students from Years 9 to 13. The cost of the ski trip last year was $540 and is predicted to be a similar price this year. This cost covers transport, accommodation, food, lessons, lift pass and rental hire. A deposit of $250 will be required before the end of the term to secure a place on the trip, and can be paid into the school office between now and the end of June.

Detailed information will be given out later this term.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact the school.
