Three OGHS teams and one individual took part last Thursday at the Secondary Schools' Wanaka Challenge.

Our Under 19 Team of Esme Paterson, MacKenzie Baines, and Jemma Tutty raced home in 3rd place. The OGHS under 16’s team of Madi Wills, Sara Ford, and Asha Robertson also placed 3rd in the under 16 category and the Year 9 team of Sophie Matahaere, Lina Fraser, and Emma Hou finished in 6th place in the under 14’s. The 400m swim in Lake Wanaka was a warm summer temperature of 17 degrees, and the riders had a 15km ride in windy, drizzly conditions, but the sun came out for the 5km run. OGHS was represented in the Individual competition by Becky de la Harpe who finished 3rd at the event, which was a 2nd placing for an Otago athlete.
