We can't travel to Egypt to see the Pyramids but we can go to the Peninsula Pyramids at Okia Reserve, and examine the columnar jointing exposed from inside the volcano 13 million years ago!

12 Science students had a great couple of days outside the classroom examining the Dunedin Volcanic history and the basement Schist at Brighton.
