Welcome back to our Year 10 campers! Year 10 Camp is a pivotal experience in the lives of OGHS students and one they take with them all their lives. Thanks to the commitment of the staff who take time away from their families to provide these amazing and enriching programmes, immersing themselves 24/7 and sharing an amazing skill-set and huge experience in the outdoors with our young people.
Year 9 equally have had an amazing array of exciting adventures and opportunities this week in their END-Rich Year 9 Programme. ‘Friends First’ with OBHS, lip synch, the movies, Pool Party and cricket at lunchtime were highlights! The Learning Support department were also busy and you can check out the ‘What was your First Job?’ display outside D41, where Poppy and Jaime interviewed staff about their first jobs.
All students at every level come back to school on Tuesday at 8.45am and Prize-reading starts sharp at 9am. This is followed by Leavers’ Assembly which is a great tradition in our school. The Regent Theatre practice for juniors and prefects is 1-2pm and juniors will be walked to this practice from school at 12.45pm. Non-prizewinners will be released at midday and expected back at the theatre to support their friends in the evening.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Prizegiving. All students are expected to attend in full Winter uniform minus jerseys and with shirts tucked in, seated downstairs in the Regent Theatre at 5.30pm ready to start at 6pm. We expect to end the Prizegiving at 8.30pm - all going well!
Finally, we welcome Year 13 parents for the first hour of our Graduation Ball at Errick’s on Wednesday 3rd December and look forward to celebrating with our graduates.
