Year 9 Maths I-time - O’Mathlon Fun!
This week our Year 9 Mathematics students took part in a thrilling O’Mathlon-style competition during their i-time numeracy session, and it was a blast! The entire year group gathered in the school hall, forming small teams to tackle an array of challenging maths problems. The air was electric with excitement as collaboration and quick thinking became the key to success!
Following this exhilarating event, five strong teams have emerged, ready to represent our school at the prestigious Otago Maths Association O’Mathlon Competition. These mathletes will showcase their skills on Thursday 22nd August at the Edgar Centre, taking on the best young mathematicians from across Dunedin. We wish them all the best as they aim for victory!
A massive thank you to Mrs Beaman for her stellar organisation, our Year 13 helpers, and the dedicated Year 9 Numeracy i-time teachers. It was truly a team effort that ensured the smooth running of a fun and memorable competition for everyone involved!
