NZCAF Otago Regional Competition

Ms C Hayward, TIC Aerobics —

Team OGHS have had a hugely successful weekend at the NZCAF Otago Regional Comp and we are so proud of every athlete who competed. 

In Secondary Division 5, Ava Williams came 2nd in her individual, while she and Holly Tyson came first in their team. In Secondary Division 4, Fiona Holmes came 3rd in her individual, and Issy Fahey came 1st, while Sapphire Graves and Leva Courtney gained 3rd place as a team. Grace Mitchell also made a spectacular return to Aerobics for the year in this category, being an absolute all-round role model for resilience. Lily Barker came 3rd in Division 3 U19, and also 1st in her FISAF Junior Petite Fitness Team with Jump Start Aerobics. In Division 2, Roree Latimer gained 3rd as an individual athlete, while Issy Fahey and Aggie Austin gained 2nd in their pair. Lucia and Immy Morey gained 2nd in their respective individual routines in Division 1 and FISAF Youth. Lastly, our Fitness Teams “Barbie’s Babes” comprised of Aggie Austin, Issy Fahey, Marlie Chisholm, Sienna Zampach and Brooke Beaman, gained 3rd in the U18 category, and “Wildcats” of Macy Woodason, Lily Bulmer, Maia Larsen, Harmony White, Poppy Annison and Ruby Brew placed 1st in the 18+. 

All of these athletes have qualified for Nationals, alongside Olivia Hurley and Emma Maley. 

This adds to the success of our athletes last weekend, who had to travel to Christchurch to compete before Cadenza. Zoe Martin and Lily Barker placed 1st in Division 2 Teams, and Zoe also placed 3rd as an individual. Caitlin Butson 3rd as a Division 3 Individual, Phoebe Martin 2nd in the Secondary Division 4 Individual category, and Liesel Tolson and Olivia Hurley placed 1st in Division 1 Teams.
