Our choirs must be congratulated for their performances at the Big Sing regional competition last Monday. The combined choir with Otago Boys' High School, Fortress, received a commended award, while our girls only choir, Nautilus Chorale, received a highly commended award and the NZCF Millennium Trophy for the best performance in Category 2, Choral Art Music, arguably the most prestigious award of the evening. We look forward to the announcement of the top choirs for the National Finale and Cadenza Festival later this term. The choirs would like to thank their director, Mr Ben Madden, and accompanist, Mr Mark Wigglesworth, for all their hard work preparing the choirs for the competition.
