Mathematics tutorials have started again for the year. The senior tutorials are Thursday lunchtimes again and also on Thursday after school when required. These are held in K1. Junior tutorials are run by “Maths Experts” from the senior school.
Nika Wood in Year 13 has organized a team of helpers: Devon Allen, Jess de Beer, Jemma Jeong, Arianna McAlpine, Abbey Smith from Year 12 and Alana Donkin, Julia Driehuis, Grace Fogavai, Jade Johnston, Rejoice Lien, Sarah Macindoe-Baker, Alice Moran, Susanna O'Keefe, and Christiana Osam from Year 13. These girls were presented with our new badges in assembly.
Students in the senior school are expected to have the Casio fx-9750 series graphics calculator. This calculator has a number of functions that will help students achieve at a higher level. The earlier the students have this calculator the more familiar they become with it and the more benefit they gain. Students at Year 11 and 12 are also expected to have a copy of the homework booklet. They may pay $5 to the office for the set or print off their own from the Google site.On 14 March it will be Pi day again (3.14 American Date). We will be celebrating again with “Pi” in K1 and maths puzzles.
