Year 10 Marae Visit

Kia ora te whānau,

As part of our Year 10 Social Studies programme we visit a local marae. This is a central part of learning about Aotearoa New Zealand. Fortunately we have been able to organise a day trip to Puketeraki Marae in beautiful Karitane. Students will take part in a variety of activities, such as visiting the historic pa site, the church and cemetery and art and craft workshops.

Who: ALL Year 10 students

When : Monday 12 April (10Mgw, 10Trk, 10Wd)

            Tuesday 13 April (10Ch, 10Cn, 10Bth)

Time : Students need to be at school by 8:30am, travelling by bus, and will return to school by 4:00pm.

What to bring: LUNCH and students are expected to dress respectfully and modestly in tidy casual clothing.

Cost: the payment is included in the $40 Social Studies subject fee. Consent form need to be returned to the school office by Friday 9 April.

Spare letters are available at the school office or ask your classroom teacher.
