Year 11 NCEA Information Evening

Mrs B. Davidson, Assistant Principal —

Thanks to the large number of parents, caregivers and students who attended this information evening.

The information that was communicated during the evening - and other useful information - can be found on the link below. Many thanks to the Year 12 and 13 students who shared their experiences of NCEA and gave valuable advice.

There were some questions raised about the school diary. The cost of the school diary remains the same as in previous years but this year is purchased separately at the school office rather than being part of the general stationery order. The diary is considered to be a sound investment in your daughter being organised for NCEA and we have found that many students (and teachers and parents) still need a paper organiser in order to see patterns across the week and deadlines and due dates. This is especially important in Year 11 when students are starting out their NCEA assessment journey.

A further NCEA Information Evening will be held for our Year 10 students, combined with Subject Selection Evening on Monday 24 August as we have identified a need to more specifically prepare our students for the NCEA transition. This will be repeated for all Year 10 students in years to come.
