Grace Hurring and Sarah Ford represented Otago Girls' High School in the Southern Schools' Cycling Tour in Marlborough 2-3 September. 

Day 1 was a time trial and a circuit race (Criterium). Day 2 was a hill climb followed by a road race. Good training and high hopes going into the tour were undermined by illness. Grace was sick and Sarah had asthma attacks but determined efforts got both girls solid results. Sarah finished 3rd overall in the Under 14 grade and Grace got PB’s in the time trial and hill climb.
