# I Love You

Junior Production

Ms K. Dick, Assistant Principal —

Congratulations to the Junior Production Cast and Crew for all your hard work over recent weeks. Thank you too, to our parent community who ferried the students across town and back on Sundays so we could get the show on the road. # I Love You demonstrated a wealth of talent across the junior school from musicians, composers, and actors to artists, stage crew, and fashion designers. We are lucky to have such a rich resource of clever young people and we cannot wait to see what you achieve in the years to come. Because of Covid Level 2 restrictions we could not open the show up to the wider school community but the immediate families of the cast and crew were entertained over two nights to a splendid one hour show that celebrated Dunedin techno-wizards from 1894 and gave a nod to Ada Lovelace, an English mathematician and writer, chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. She was also Lord Byron, the poet's daughter. Thank you to everyone involved and well done to our amazing students. I look forward to working with the Year 9 students again next year and Year 10, I know there will be opportunities in the senior school to strengthen and support your already immense talent.
