School Strike 4 Climate

Miss L. Mackay, Enviroschools —

Today students around the country have been called upon once again to show their solidarity with the School Strike 4 Climate movement.

OGHS students will be making a stand within the safety of their bubbles through chalking messages on their sidewalks, making posters to display, etc.

Year 11 student Jana Elvy, who is on the student leadership committee for School Strike 4 Climate, was in the Octagon today to highlight the importance of taking this time to consider what we can do for our climate. Jana has been active throughout the Covid isolation period and taken part in various measures to publicise the importance of climate justice.

“We are striking from school to tell our politicians to take our futures seriously and treat climate change for what it is - a crisis.” School Strike 4 Climate
