Introducing the Head Prefect and Deputy Head Prefect for 2022
Kia Ora students, parents and whānau, I’m Jordan the Otago Girls' Head Prefect for this year. To get to know me here's a thing or two about myself. I am a very keen sportswoman, competing in both school and club athletics and playing netball for the school. I am also in the school's Pasifika group, Teine Mai Le Moana. Being in Year 13 and being the Head Prefect this year, I hope to have an impact on the younger students, as the previous Head Prefects and other Year 13 leaders have had on me. I’m keen to get to know you all within the school community, the parents, students and teachers, as I believe it's important to make the connections to build our community. Hopefully, we can build a bright and positive community over the year. I look forward to meeting more of you soon!
Kia Ora everyone, I hope you all have had a lovely holiday and are enjoying the first few days back at school! My name is Kaitlyn and I am the Otago Girls’ High School Deputy Head Prefect for 2022. I am super excited to have the opportunity to be in this role and work alongside our amazing prefect team for 2022. For those who don't know me, I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. I am a dedicated member of Te Wairua Pūhou, the combined Otago Boys' and Otago Girls' kapa haka group as well as the school choir, netball and volleyball teams. Previously I have also been a house leader for Cruickshank house, a sports coordinator and I have been a part of Te Toi Aweawe (the school Arts Council), Kāhui Kōrero and the Sports Council. I am eager to see what this year holds for me within this role and what I can contribute to the school. I look forward to seeing and meeting all of you throughout the year!
This is not the first time we will be working together, we have played netball together and worked together as house leaders, so we are familiar with how each other works and we make a great team! We are really looking forward to working alongside the rest of the amazing 2022 prefect team this year.
