On Wednesday the 18th, Five wonderful Year 9 students: Kaela King, Maisie Woodhouse, Lily Swensen-McLean, Lily Williams and Layla Wainwright competed in the Otago Reginal Final of the SLANZA Readers Cup, which was held at Queens High School. In preparation, the team had to read six novels and memorise as many key facts about them as possible. They began diligent preparation at the end of Term One, and are our inaugural OGHS team to ever enter the competition.

While we didn't pull off a win this time around, the students had a wonderful time, and look forward to using what they learned to coach next years team!
