Japanese Speech contest
On Tuesday 8 June the Dunedin Otaru Sister City Society hosted their annual Japanese speech contest in the Otaru room at the Dunedin City Council. The competition required students to present a three to five minute speech in Japanese to a panel of judges and then participate in an impromptu Q and A section with the three judges on their speech topic. Despite nerves, all of the girls stood up and presented themselves with confidence. Lisa Lokman took first place in the alternative section. In the senior section Lily Malley was placed third, Daibaihe Jiang second and Sol Kwon gained first place.
