School Council

Ashleigh Allum and Sophia Niblock —

In Week Three of Term Four, the Otago Girls High School Student Council will be hosting an Environmental market day, with many exciting activities happening.

This will include lots of fun and environment centred stalls; with Beeswax Wraps, Bekahlani Bags, Vegan Food, and a Pop Up Op Shop!

The Pop Up Op Shop is aimed to minimise the waste that unwanted clothes cause, as well as provide to others. Unwanted clothes can be donated to the Pop-Up Op Shop box, located outside of the School Library. These will then be sold at the Environmental Day for the affordable price. Any left over clothing will be donated to the Salvation Army. If all items of clothing to be donated could please be handed in by the 26th of October, it would be much appreciated!

The School Council would be very grateful for the support of this initiative, that will not only benefit the environment, but also the students of Otago Girls High School, as well as the Salvation Army.
